Chamonix expedition medicine course

 

This week I was fortunate enough to be able to go Chamonix in France for a 5day course teaching doctors how to be expedition medics. It was a full week packed with relevant lectures, inspirational speakers, practical skills, evacuation scenarios, overnight camping, glacier trekking and Ice climbing. Great group of people and fantastic educational opportunity.

Olympics

I'm at british museum and come to look at the real Olympic & Paralympic medals before they are given to the worlds top athletes this summer at the London 2012 Olympics. The last Olympics were in London in 1948.

Got to hold a real gold Olympic torch!

 

Today I managed to donate money for charity and get to have my picture taken with a real gold Olympic torch. win win. what do you think?
